What to highlight in your resume
Clarify whether you worked by phone, email, chat, in person or across several channels. Mention relevant systems such as CRM, ticketing or order-management tools only when you have actually used them. If you know your response time, case volume, satisfaction score or escalation rate, include the number together with the period or team context.
Skills worth including
- Phone, email and chat support
- CRM and ticket management
- Complaint handling and escalation
- Order and account support
Keep only skills you can explain with a real example from work, training or a project.

Use this as a structure, not as text to copy unchanged. Replace the role, experience, tools and goal with your own information.
Ready template
Customer Service resume template
We will put a ready template in the builder: skills, traits, a summary and one job entry with a description. You add your own details. We do not add employers, names or dates, and if you already have a CV in this browser, nothing is overwritten.
Free template and PDF, no account needed. You can edit or remove anything from the template before downloading. Keep only what is true about you.
Experience bullet examples
- Handled customer requests across email, phone and live chat and documented outcomes in the CRM.
- Resolved order, delivery and account issues while following refund and escalation procedures.
- Coordinated with logistics and billing teams when cases required action outside customer support.
If this is your first job
Use experience from retail, hospitality, volunteering or school projects where you answered questions, solved problems or organised information for other people. Show the situation and responsibility rather than simply calling yourself customer-focused.
What to avoid
Avoid claiming perfect customer satisfaction or exceptional performance without evidence. Concrete responsibilities are more credible than unsupported statements such as “always exceeded expectations”.
Check your resume before sending it
- Put the experience most relevant to the vacancy near the top.
- Check dates and contact details, so the employer can reach you and your timeline is consistent.
- Remove numbers, skills or responsibilities you could not explain in an interview.
- Copy text from the exported PDF into a plain editor to confirm it remains readable.
- Read it on mobile and look for broken lines, awkward page breaks and sections that are hard to scan.
Editorial note
The examples are templates for structure and wording. They are not taken from user resumes and should be adapted to your own experience.
